Sree Koratala is the Vice President, Head of Cloud and Network Virtualization Function (NVF) Infrastructure business for Ericsson in North America. In this role, she is responsible for technical pre-sales, solutions and delivery of cloud products and services for all telecommunications, web and enterprise customers. Previously, Koratala was the Chief Technology Officer for Ericsson’s Silicon Valley customers. In this role, she was responsible for bringing in new business with a diverse set of valley-based companies, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startups, with a focus on 5G, Cloud, IoT and network transformation. Koratala previously served as the Head of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) for Ericsson in North America, where she led a 5G readiness initiative for Tier-1 operators across the United States, as well as numerous network transformations. She has held multiple leadership roles at Ericsson, including Head of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Solutions for the AT&T sales team and Head of Digital Business Solutions for North America.
She spent nearly a decade in radio access networks (RAN) where she was an awardwinning technical lead for the first 3G UMTS introduction in North America with AT&T, led design for T-Mobile’s nationwide 3G radio access and transport network, and successfully introduced LTE technology for Verizon. Koratala holds a master’s degree in computer science from Texas A&M University and is currently studying business administration at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is the recipient of the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 2017 Bay Area CIO of the Year Award in the Rising Star category and is an active sponsor of several diversity and inclusion initiatives at Ericsson.
