ITN Energy Systems is a premier research and product development organization founded in 1995 by leading scientists and engineers from major US aerospace corporations. Our mission is to identify, develop, and rapidly commercialize emerging technologies in energy generation, energy storage, and efficient energy utilization. Our diverse team is well versed in fundamental scientific knowledge, innovative engineering, and commercialization of emerging technologies. The team is complemented by a strong network of Universities, National Laboratories, and Commercial collaborators. Over the last twenty years, ITN has established a culture and processes to support efficient commercialization of emerging technologies with an emphasis on tackling the core manufacturing challenges that enable low cost, high volume production of thin-film devices on flexible substrates. An original licensee of the "Bates Cell" from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, ITN has been developing next generation thin film batteries for almost twenty years. ITN’s commercialized its first generation solid state lithium battery (SSLB) product with the Launch of Infinite Power Solutions in 2001. Since then, ITN has continued to innovate and improve SSLB product offerings with a focus on increasing the volumetric and gravimetric energy density, increasing capacity, and reducing manufacturing cost.
