Yield management provider becomes SEMI member

Monday, Apr 08, 2019

yieldHUB announced its membership with SEMI, the industry association that connects the worldwide electronics manufacturing supply chain to drive the collaboration and innovation critical to industry growth. Its member companies provide equipment, materials and services for the manufacturing of semiconductors, and other electronics.

yieldHUB provides a complete solution for yield management in the semiconductor industry. Most of its employees have a background in the semiconductor industry. This means that the specific needs of customers are quickly understood. The company has traditionally been focused on the US, Far East, Irish and UK markets with mainland Europe now becoming a priority as well.

“SEMI is excited to welcome yieldHUB to our growing family of member companies,” Laith Altimime, president of SEMI Europe. “We look forward to enabling yieldHUB to develop new business opportunities and speed time-to-better business results through our full suite of products and services.”

Kevin Robinson, Director of Customer Success, yieldHUB said “We believe that the best way to serve our customers is by listening to their needs, exploring what’s possible and coming up with innovative solutions to delight them. Joining member organisations is an important part of that strategy.”

yieldHUB decided to join SEMI due to its global presence and focus on providing the industry with key statistics, global trends and reports. SEMI hosts dozens of meaningful and productive expos and technical events to connect the industry each year while providing member services across Advocacy; Environment, Health and Safety; Technical Communities; Workforce Development and SEMI Standards.

yieldHUB is already a member of MIDAS Ireland. MIDAS is a representative body for the semiconductor industry in Ireland. They work with various state agencies to help grow and promote this fast-growing area. They also work with third level institutions to ensure the continued supply of engineers in Ireland. This includes ensuring the content of third level courses meets the needs of the industry. yieldHUB joined MIDAS Ireland to support these initiatives in Ireland.

Leonard Hobbs, General Manager, MIDAS Ireland said “MIDAS Ireland launched in 2000 to support semiconductor companies in Ireland. Since then many multi-national and indigenous companies became active members.

The diversity of these companies expanded to include the entire value chain of the electronic system's sector. This includes companies that provide essential support services such as yield analysis”.

yieldHUB is a member of the NMI, which is part of Techworks in the UK. The NMI is an industry association representing the UK Electronic Systems Communities. They aim to build a strong network and act as a catalyst for commercial and technological development. With a growing number of yieldHUB’s customers being in the UK,  Techworks is an ideal way to stay in touch and keep up to date with developments there.

John O’Donnell, CEO of yieldHUB added “Many of our customers are members of these industry organisations. MIDAS, SEMI and Techworks are forward-looking organisations like we are and incorporate a healthy ecosystem of suppliers, partners and customers. We are very happy to take part in their conferences and activities promoting our industry.”
