What is the Technology Showcase?

The Technology Showcase will highlight some of the newest and most unique MEMS/imaging/sensors-enabled applications in the industry. No matter if you are a startup, well-established company, researcher, or individual: SEMI encourages you to submit your abstract for a chance to present your innovative product during the SEMI MEMS & Imaging Sensors Summit in Grenoble, France from 25-27 September 2019.

How to Participate:

  1. Choose a technology. Select either MEMS/sensors or Imaging/sensors to showcase how your product impacts the current market or application
  2. Submit your abstract and product photo by 17 May 2019
  3. Finalists announced. Five finalists in each category will be selected in late June/early July 2019

Selected Presenters Will Receive:

  • One complimentary pass to SEMI MEMS & Imaging Sensors Summit 2019
  • A demo table to display your technology at the summit

At the conclusion of the program, audience members will vote to select the winner for each Technology Showcase. The winners receive a FREE BOOTH for the MEMS & Imaging Sensors Summit 2020!

2018 Winners

Mirsense and XenomatiX Win Technology Showcase

at European MEMS, Imaging and Sensors Event in 2018

MirSense was crowned the winner of the 2018 MEMS & Sensors Technology Showcase for its MultiSense product, a breakthrough in real-time sensing and mapping gases for air quality and emission monitoring. Ludovic Laurent, research and development engineer at MirSense, presented the MultiSense product as the first handheld spectrometer to integrate quantum cascade lasers (QCL) and the photoacoustic detection of multigases below a few 100 part per billion. The silicon-based laser can be manufactured in high volume to drive costs lower cost than competing products. MultiSense is the product of 10 years’ experience of III-V lab work in QCL with the expertise of CEA-Leti in silicon integration. XenomatiX N.V. won the popular vote for the Imaging and Sensors Technology Showcase for 2018 with its single imager, solid-state, 3D LIDAR with 2D camera for autonomous cars. The unique product, presented by XenomatiX N.V. CEO Filip Geuens, uses sensor fusion to overlay 2D and 3D data to provide high-accuracy, low-power, long-range detection and tracking of obstacles and road users. The solution monitors and analyzes a vehicle’s surroundings in real-time to sharpen the “vision” of autonomous driving systems. Visit XenomatiX and view the related video.

Si-Ware Systems (SWS), a premier provider of IC and MEMS-based solutions for industrial and consumer applications, has won SEMI’s® Technology Showcase Award at the SEMI European MEMS and Sensor Summit 2017, held in Grenoble, France. Conference participants voted to confer the award on Si-Ware’s NeoSpectra Micro, the first spectrometer-on-a-chip, designed for mobile devices and fixed equipment. The award and conference, organized by SEMI’s strategic association partner the MEMS and Sensors Industry Group® (MSIG), is offered each year for companies engaged in a range of sectors, from Internet of Things (IoT) and consumer electronics to robotics and biomedical equipment.
